Original Minecraft Launcher

Manual Installation and updating of fabric modloader and the modpack required.

Installation

1. Install the Minecraft Launcher either from:
   • The Microsoft Store on Windows
   • Minecraft.net
   • Your linux package manager. You know what you're doing.
2. Download the fabric installer and run it.
3. Choose Minecraft version 1.20.1 and the latest available loader version. Tick the create profile checkbox and press Install. After successful installation, press OK.
4. In the Minecraft Launcher, go to the Installation tab, click on the folder icon on the line fabric-loader 1.20.1
5. Download the latest modpack release .minecraft.7z and unzip the contents of the .minecraft folder in the .7z file into the .minecraft folder you opened in step 4.
6. You're done. Optionally look into installing the pregenerated cache for Distant Horizons.

Updating the modpack

1. In the minecraft Launcher, go to the Installation tab, click on the folder icon on the modpack installation. The default name was: fabric-loader 1.20.1.
2. In the folder that should have opened up right now, delete the mods folder.
3. Download the latest modpack release .minecraft.7z and unzip the contents of the .minecraft folder in the .7z file into the .minecraft folder you opened in step 1.
