MultiMC / UltimMC (cracked)

Access these Settings from the settings menu at the top of the App in the [JAVA] tab.

  • I personally use Temurin JRE. Installing java is a fuck, you can figure this out yourself or use the default one.
  • 6144 MiB memory at minimum. I personally use 8192 MiB.
  • Launch Arguments:
-XX:+UnlockExperimentalVMOptions -XX:+DisableExplicitGC -XX:+UseG1GC -XX:ParallelGCThreads=12 -XX:-UseGCOverheadLimit -Dfml.ignorePatchDiscrepancies=true -Dfml.ignoreInvalidMinecraftCertificates=true -XX:MaxGCPauseMillis=50 -XX:SurvivorRatio=8 -XX:TargetSurvivorRatio=90 -XX:MaxTenuringThreshold=15 -XX:SoftRefLRUPolicyMSPerMB=10000 -XX:ReservedCodeCacheSize=2048M -XX:+UseStringDeduplication

Installation

  1. Get MultiMC or UltimMC. UltimMC is a fork of MultiMC that allows offline (cracked) accounts.
  2. Depending on MultiMC / UltimMC: MultiMC: To the top right of the launcher, click on Profiles -> Manage Accounts -> Add Microsoft / Add Mojang (whatever applies to your account situation) UltimMC: To the top right of the launcher, click on Profiles -> Manage Accounts. You have the option of a "local" (cracked) account, or you can still log in with your Microsoft / Mojang account if you so wish.
  3. Click on Add Instance and choose Modrinth in the left column.
  4. Search for Horizon - Gotek's SMP. Click the first result, select the latest version and click OK.
  5. You're done. You should be able to see the modpack Instance in the main window of the Launcher.

Updating the modpack

  1. Create Backups of your existing Instance. These are the important folders:
/minecraft
.
├── config
├── Distant_Horizons_server_data
├── _IAS_ACCOUNTS_DO_NOT_SEND_TO_ANYONE
├── replay_recordings
├── resourcepacks
├── saves
├── schematics
├── screenshots
├── shaderpacks
├── texturepacks
├── xaero
  1. Click on Add Instance and choose Modrinth in the left column.
  2. Search for Horizon - Gotek's SMP. Click the first result, select the latest version and click OK.
  3. Apply backups. I recommend using the config that came with the updates, as I cannot control/support mod configurations that differ from the modpack.
